Film is a visional-narrative art which is, unlike its similar narrative and fictional structure with literary texts, different from literary texts in some aspects such as method, technique, context, used substances and its affection on the audience. Rango is one of the greatest animated artifice works in the world which is unlinked and unique both in its form and intent. It was made by Paramount Corporation and received Oscar prize at 2011. Attraction and affection of this film is due to its mythic structure and archetypal elements; and also reflecting the mono-myth in the culture of west land; mono-myth which have been recreated according to the social structure of contemporary period of time and reflects collective unconsciousness of west man. In this research, authors use mono-myth method and other ideas of Campbel and also Christopher Vogler’s approach to analyze the structure of film and characters of displaced hero of contemporary period of time in west. Results show that, unlike old heroes who had physical and mental powers, this displaced hero will only be the real hero of our period of time by depending on individuality, self-consciousness, growing personal talents, not imitating and not considering any external source for finding truth; a hero who is the propagandist of trainings of west man in the philosophy, politics, culture, society and etc. a hero whose journey reward is democracy, liberalism, humanism and intending to human talents and rights.
