Abstarct:

Qajar rugs are among the richest treasures of Iranian art. In these carpets , specific kind of design and new usage were created. Motifs of these group of qajar carpets not only were affected by various literary and storied themes but also reflected by religious and mystical themes. In this way, we can mention carpets of spiritual characters and darvishes. Weaving of darvish ‘s faces on the carpets, is one the important event of qajar art and movement of illustration on the carpets. We can categorize these rugs into two groups:

1. carpets with image of darvish

2. carpets with subject of ritual items

By examining the pattern of the carpets, it can be concluded that beliefs of society as an important part of society thinking, on the other hand the effects of west are reflected.
